Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham, consumed at home/village hall function, Saturday 27th June 2015 Mid gold, slight haze, coffee but not too much, it isnt the the fruity and crisp beer with coffee that I was hoping for, in fact it comes across as a little muddled unsure of its own beery identity, it’s still good but I wasn’t hoping for better. 33 cl bottle @ Sankt Hans Tasting, Ulfborg. Bottle #0118, bottled 09/2014, BBE 09/2015 Aroma is musty and odd with coffee, nettles and gooseberry bush. Also ashy tones and liver casserole typical to Laitila beers. Flavour has cold coffee, some minerals, nettles and gooseberry bush tones. The coffee and hops do not quite mix up here.

330 ml. bottle purchased during ACBF 2015 @ Bierhalle Deconinck. Drank out of office. Bottled on 09/2014. Dark amber appearance, med. hazy with a bubbly off-white head. Nose is sweetish light to med. earthly hops, the earth-character is a bit fruity, very light cacao / coffee sweetness, would be nicer if it were more in expressive and less mellow. Taste is bitter upfront, med. bitter touch herbal coffee character mixed with some bitter earthly hops leading into some cacao sweetness, coffee with vanilla soy milk leading into an earthly character, there is a light herbal coffee character, lightly earthly coffee and some filter coffee, some light bitter grainy filter coffee is buried in the back within the cacao sweetness and light earthly hops. Body is relatively light almost verging on being slightly thin and watery but it isn’t quite there. It is good as it is now but it could benefit from being more expressive but this might be due to the age, after all this is 5 months old now. Wish my bottle were fresher but in the end this just isn’t a local beer, still a nice drink.
