Bottle at my cloisters Bar staff tasting no2... black ... thin tan head ... nice sweet roast and little coffee in nose ... big roast ... lots and lots of smooth roasts ... quite a lot of chocolate ... quite alot of hop in background... but better blended than many.

(Bottle, 0.355 l, at Olutravintola Solmu, 20120714) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and light brown. Aroma had chocolate, roasted malts, liquorice and hops. Palate was full bodied and warming with medium carbonation. Flavours were roasted malts, nuts, ash, hops and bitterness. Aftertaste was roasty, ashy and bitter. Very tasty and surprisingly balanced heavy brew.
Old rating: 3.6 (Bottle at Hilpeä Hauki, Helsinki, on 2009-04-19) Balck. Small tan coloured head. Hops, liquorice and roastedness in aroma. Full bodied and slightly oily palate with quite high carbonation. Roastedness, lot of bitterness, grass, liquorice and ash in taste. Ashy and bitter aftertaste.
Old rating: 3.6 (Bottle at Hilpeä Hauki, Helsinki, on 2009-04-19) Balck. Small tan coloured head. Hops, liquorice and roastedness in aroma. Pours an opaque very dark brown with an average-sized tan head. Roast malts, coffee and cocoa powder in the aroma. The complex flavors follow the aroma with a nice balance of sweet and hop bitterness. Creamy and smooth.

Bottle. Pours thick with a deep black body and a dark brown head that fades to a ring that sticks with great lacing. A bit glass coating. Probably should be a foreign stout by its robustness. Aroma is chocolate cocoa powder, flowery with dry molasses, anise and vanilla. Taste is smoke and roasty with light notes of vanilla, licorice, and leather. Not too bitter, very few hops. Creamy mouthfeel and light bubbles.

Bottle from VinensVerden, Odense. Pours black with a creamy brown head. Nose is roast, hops, vanilla & chocolate. Smooth & full bodied. Oily & slick. Taste has roasted coffee,a tiny ashy note & hops. Ends dry & bitter. Very nice! This brewery is awesome!
