Bottle: Unclear, ruby-amber coloured, small off-white foamy layer; moderate to solid sweet-fruity (dried berries) and caramelly nose with a light woody-vinous touch and a tinge of ground coffee; moderate to solid sweet-bitter flavour, full bodied; lingering caramelly-fruity finish with a pronounced bitterness in the aftertaste. Not bad, but I expected more.......

Bottled@The Chriso rock the roof down pre-GBBF shindig. Hazy ambery colour with small off-white head. Aroma is fruits, some mild floral and earthy notes with quite big sweet maltyness. Flavour is very similar, but the maltyness is much bigger. Balanced, but for once a not very exciting beer from Struise.

The bottle looks really good, the beer in the glass also. Deep black, small head. Starts malty and strong, quite smoky, earthy and very spicy. Really interesting. Finish a bit milder, well balanced, malty-warming. I like it!
