22 oz. bottle, from Gary’s Beverage, Portsmouth, NH. 2011 Extra bitter vintage. Used an English pint glass, deep copper/ amber color. Some light head with light retention and lace. Aroma is of caramel and floral hops, some resin. Taste is a underlying malty sweetness with a nice West Coast spicy hop in the finish. Malt and hops balanced real well. Has an oily resin like finish. Lightly bitter. This is a nice brew, tasty.

Bottle, 6.4%. Caramelly malty aroma, some OK aroma hop. Seemingly clear dark chestnut colour. Big stable tan head. The flavour is not as sweet as the aroma lets on, actually nicely balanced. Good fruity notes, probably from the malt. A little grassy hop flavour. Some alcohol to balance and give a bit of bitterness. Gets a little roasted note in the finish. Good mouthfeel, probably due to the alcohol.

Bottle. Amber with a thick light beige head. Aroma of caramel, orange blossoms, grass, some grapefruit and pine. Taste is sweet before firm bitterness. There’s caramel with some nutty and toasted notes. Pleasant and slightly chewy malt side fits well with bitterness. The citrus is a little subdued in the aroma but creeps up in the dryish finish. Nothing terribly interesting about it - it’s just tasty and well put together. [3.7] Tap (squealer). Creamy mouthfeel. Citrus and floral notes more evident in the aroma, but the finish seems a bit harsher to leave the overall impression about the same. Maybe excessively dry-hopped for me, but has lots going for it.

Bottle. Dark reddish brown color with amber hues and a big off-white head. Nice lacing. Hoppy aroma, somewhat resinous, with grapefruits, piney notes and some malty notes. Hoppy flavor, piney and grapefruity, with a bit of sweet malt and caramel in the start and a bitter lingering finish. Medium-bodied. Nice.

Bottle at Brewdog Bar Aberdeen. It pours hazy deep red, with a thin beige head. The nose is full of pine, resin, orange and fresh cut grass. The taste is lemon, orange, pine, resin, caramel, toffee and leather, with a massive bitter finish. Medium body and average carbonation. Nice.
