Cask at The Porterhouse, Westbourne, Bournemouth. Poured amber with a creamy off-white head. Aroma of light toasted malt, caramel, hops, fruit and flowers. Medium sweetness and moderate bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. My highest rated Ringwood beer to date.

From the bottle. Golden amber colour with small white fluffy head. Very very clear. Aroma is malty, bit of honey, bit of marzipan. Slightly stinky too. Taste is caramel malt, slightly sweet (honey) bit of bitterness towards the end. Slightly sugary. Bit thin in the mouth. All in all, not bad, but not really my kind of thing. --- Beer merged from original tick of Ringwood Fortyniner (Bottle) on 09 Sep 2019 at 16:06 - Score: Appearance - 4 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 4 | Overall - 6. Bottle from Beers of Europe. Appearance - deep amber with decent lacing. Nose - caramel, and possibly butterscotch. Brown bread. Taste - burnt bread, caramel, some red fruit, probably strawberry. Then sweet pears on the finish. Palate - close to medium bodied. Tangy rich and lightly sweet while being bitter at the same time. Overall - good in the end, after a bit of a dodgy nose.

16/5/2019. Bottle, sample, courtesy of kwik-lime, cheers Simon! Pours clear dark gold with a small off-white head. Aroma of hops, malt, citrus, tropical fruit, light veg and resin. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Moderate body, oily/sticky texture, above average carbonation. Nice bitterness developed. Not bad, bit too fizzy.

From cask at Wetherspoons at Victoria Station on transit from Gatwick to Heathrow 27.08.18. Served at an appropriate temperature using sparkler. Clear dark golden. Frothy and persisten beige head and lacing. Excellent aroma and taste of grassy English hops and pale malt. Pine and grass bitterness is lingering on. Full mouthfeel with little carbonation. Very quaffable.

On cask at Acorn Inn, pours a clear pale golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out bready malt and very light English hops. Flavour is along the same lines, with bready malt and subtle English floral hops. Very subtle and bready. Meh.
