Cask at Prince of Wales, Farnborough. It may be the smoke in the pub, but not getting any aroma. Light chestnut, thin off-white head. Malty, some sweetness, bitter in the finish. Twigs. Medium bodied, Watery with a buzz from the carbonation. Long astringent finish. Lacks oomph. Does nothing for me.

Bottled 500ml. -from Vrutak Zagreb. Darker golden coloured, minimal white head, mild caramel nose. Sweet malty, caramel, herbal hops, mild fruity and again notes of caramel in the finish. Drinkable but thin. "Just to brew something" beer.

Pale amber, medium white head clutching at glassware walls. Thick lacing after the froth has broken down. Malty aroma. Candy, caramel, Fruity esters, a minimal phenolic note. Light to medium body. The flavour is malty as well. Caramel, candy, esters. Floral hops deliver light bitterness. Hoppy finish & aftertaste. Generally not my model of the style still enjoyable enough.

500ml bottle. Pours gold with a thin, quickly disappearing head. A dry spicy aroma, with the flavour mostly bitter and a bit muddy. This is one of the most disappointing bottled ales, especially considering the exceptional quality of the cask version.

Cask @ Southampton airport. Slightly unclear golden body with a light off-white head. Mild malty aroma. Flavor is mild, smooth malt, mild fruit, some toast and medium bitterness. Medium body and pleasant aftertaste of smooth malt and fruit. This beer really suits the cask format, a splendid uncomplicated, smooth British best bitter. Good choise for an airport bar.
