In the summer of 2009, the brewery 3 Fonteinen from Beersel needed to sell its Lambic. Giovanni Campari, founder and brewmaster of our brewery, had the idea to use that Lambic for making a blend with our Saison New Morning. He chose three barrels containing 18-month-old Lambic. The result of the blend exceeded our most optimistic expectations. Today the Beersel Morning is produced with Lambic by Gert of Oud Beersel, the most awarded Lambic producer in international competitions.

16/05/2013 750ml bottle. Corpo medio-leggero, carbonazione media. Birra magnifica, da bere a ettolitri!

Hand bottle from PBF, thanks veliempojot
Pours dark orange with a tiny head. Aroma of sour berries, some tartness, yeast and farmyard. Taste is smooth, tart and slightly sourish with some notes of berries, fruits, farmyard and yeast. Finish is yeasty and sourish. A bit untypical mix, but still quite tasty.

75 cl bottle vintage 2009 (6,2%) @ wPBF’13
Rather nice aroma with earthy notes and some citrus. Feels like a good farmhouse saison. Flavour is dry, tart and very gueuze‐like. It has grapefruit, some earthy notes and orange. Very nice!

Bottle at RBWG. Pours faintly. Loudy gold with a fine, white cream head. Lots of acetic fruits, aome lenon and mango. Medium sweet avor, well tangy. Some spices. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Lightly bitter finish, some dandelions, lemon, peppery spice. Not bad.

Cloudy golden color with small head. Interesting aroma, both tart and fruity, with classic pungent cellar notes typical of Drie Fontainen and lemony fruitiness. Highly carbonated, with strong Bretts, but smooth overall; strong citrusy and strong cellar character too.
Good; interesting.

Giant bottle. Cloudy orange, amber lace. Nice light wooden fermented lemonpeel and berries. Citric base, light tropics, well balanced round sour notes. Sparkly, medium mouthfeel. Fruity dry finish. Great beer.
