(On tap @ Himmeriget, CPH, June 29/19) Pours black with a small beige to brown head. Notes of thick chocolate, mix between crushed dark chocolate bars and milky creamy vibes, quite smoky and prominent roast quality too, waffle batter-like pastry edge, sweet berry candy but not super-scoooped, nice toffee/caramel sweetness to the core filling it out, still fairly sweet into the finish but with clear cacao and smoky burnt grain bitterness, lingering fruity cheesecake notes, light alcohol warmth for the big boost it actually contains. Full-bodied, syrupy to creamy, softly carbonated. Nice pastry for sure, if not quite as delicious as some of the inspiring products like IGCCS or the normal 3 Sons-derived Scoops.

ABV: 14.0%. Clear dark black brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, molasses, chocolate, dark chocolate, dark malt, chocolate cake, rich, vanilla - cream. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, sugary, brown sugar, chocolate cake, vanilla - cream - ice cream, alcohol, dark chocolate. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat, finish feel is warming and light alcoholic. [20190928]

Sampled at Borefts Beer Festival 2019, day 2. Opaque pitch black color, dark brown colored head. Aroma is malts, roast, raisins and I'm reminded of some liquor. Rhum maybe? Flavor is malts, sweet roast, vanilla lightly it seems (…). Soft mouthfeel, soft carbonation, full body. Nice, but the rhum and vanilla are a little too much for me to really love it.

On tap at Beer Merchants Tap in Hackney. Pours Jet Black with a thin dirty tan head. Aroma is waffle, chocolate, coffee, strawberry, vanilla and jammy red fruit. Taste is a big chocolate hit, bit of boozy burn but mellowed by jammy red fruit, vanilla and waffle. Super thick dummy mouthfeel. Dirty filth and good fun.

At Borefts 2019. Aroma of vanilla, chocolate and malt mostly. Taste has sweet vanilla, bourbon, cherry and of course a lot of sugar. The flavors are a good combination, but somehow it tastes fake and too sugary, which keeps this from being great.

Tap. Darkest brown color with beige head. Aroma is chocolate cake, vanilla, light roast. Taste is sweet chocolate cake, roast, liquorice, quite boozy in the back. Thick oily mouthfeel with low carbonation. Not bad, but quite boozy.
