0,33 l. bottle from Kihoskh, Copenhagen. Poured into a trappist glass. Hazy orange colour, with a small white head, which lasted almost throughout the tasting, some laceing. Most dominant in the aroma and taste is sweet apricot and yeast notes, and in the finish, some weak alcohol notes. Medium body and only a abrupt finish. I had better Mikkellers before, this is my lowest rating for a Mikkeller. I know Mikkeller can do better!

On tap at Patricks in Kristiansand. Almost clear amber body with a nice off-white head. Quite light and fruity aroma of mild fruits like plums and melon, some caramel and spices. Flavor is sweet and fruity, caramel, light sugary, mild fruity, ripe melon and plum, moderate bitter and spicy. Quite nice and refreshing to a certain degree, then a bit too sweet. Still malty and bitter to keep some kind of balance. An interesting an a bit unusually version of Belgium trippel and not really bad at all. If a traditionally trippel feels to sweet, this might be the right thing, even if it’s still on the sweeter side.

Bottle consumed with madmitch76, MesandSim and Leighton. It pours a hazy amber colour with thin white head. The nose is of paint, farmyard, peach, pineapple and a little honey. The taste is paint, hay, grass, peach, pineapple, pear, lemon, sweet tangerine and quite a weird soap and pepper thing going on towards the finish. All round it tastes bit weird and is nowhere near the usual high standard of Mikkeller.

Bottle shared with Mes&Sim, Leighton and Scopey at the CP&K. Cheers! Very light haze on this amber beer. Residual white head. Slightly syrupy palate with a mild carbonated bite. Sweetish and grainy tripel. Some complex shit going on here - sweet glue, some sweet dried fruits, paint, freshly sawn wood. In fact we called this the decorators tripel - glue, paint, wood!! Tastes like someone is renovating a room! Not undrinkable but something of a rare clunker from this great brewer!

Bottle @ Odense Smagning, Feb. 2011. Pours cloudy orange with a small stable creamy white head. Nose is apples and yeast. Flavor is orange peel, yeast and apples. Sweet with a whiff of alcohol. Medium bodied. Not very original Belgium (More US Like) but pretty tasty.

(Draught at Kaisla, Helsinki) Poured golden and hazy. Head was small and white. Aroma contained sweetness, marmelade and fruitiness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were sweetness, marmelade, hops, mildly malts, treacle and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet and bitter. Way too sweet and was far away from a style I undestand as tripel.
