Blunda och känn den svarta sammeten smeka. De mörka maltsorterna har rundats av med några nävar havre. Galena, Hallertau Brewers Gold och Centennialhumle friskar upp och överraskar.

0.5l bottle @ Schoukjelleren, Oslo. This is a near black beer with a thin sidesticking khaki head. The aroma has licorice, dark yeast, hints of banana and old shoes. Strange stuff. It has a soft carbonation level and a oily mouthfeel. Flavors are both smoky and licorice-rich. Tones of dark smoky light roasted sweet malts and perhaps some thin coffee notes as well. Strange stuff, and I'm not really sure if I really liked this, but it was drinkable.

Clear dark brown with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt and coffee. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and roasted moderate bitter finish. 141011

Trade with Enjoyit. 50cl. Bottle. Pours black with a small off white head. Ashy, dusty and roasted nose and flavor. Vaguely acidic malty flavor. Coffee and caramel. Medium bodied.

Like opening a fresh bag of coffee. Huge roasted character. A bit watery mouth, dark fruit, not so well balanced, but decent amount of hops an malts. Still fairly enjoyable beer, but a bit more body and a bit tighter body. Nice.

Nästan kolsvart med ett två centimeter tjock skum som lägger sig till ett lock. Doft av kaffe, bränt socker, lakrits, lite kokta grönsaker och Dugge. Smaken är rostad och lite salt. Det är en lätt havrestout i typisk Duggestil. Precis så här ska en stout smaka. Lätt kaffesyrlighet, sötma åt lakriskolahållet, rostad och havrelen.

50cl bottle from Systembolaget. Poured black with a thin beige head. Aroma is chocolate and roasted malt. Flavor is roasted malt, coffee and quite a lot of ash as it gets a bit warmer. Smooth palate, but very light body. Dry finish.

Thanks to tkrjukoff for this bottle. Very dark brown / black opaque colored beer, light beige head. Smell and taste coffee, roastyness, hints of sweet and sour, and something fruity, like berries. Average body, low carbo.

Bottle. Milk chocolate and caramel aroma. Dark brown, low head, mellow carbonation. Light herbal, chicoree ersatz coffee, chocolate, a hint metallic. Medium to light body, light sparkly, dry on the palate.

500ml bottle shared with Magne and MrSoul. Fawn-coloured head containing lots of dimples. Opaque, dark body. Rather attractive smell of cocoa-like malts. Smooth malty flavour character of oatmeal and chocolate. Subdued bitter endnotes. Satisfying, without reaching higher levels (Sommarøya, 25.06.2011).
