A special twist on the Finnish style Sahti, brewed at Nøgne Ø in cooperation between Dugges Brewery, Sweden, and Nøgne Ø of Norway. Brewed with rye and wheat, sea wormwood from the Swedish archipelago, juniper twigs from the Norwegian forests, honey from heather flowers in Telemark and three selected yeast strains from Belgium, Germany and Britain, and of course, some malt and hops too.

500 ml bottle shared beastiefan2k. Pour is a hazed darker golden with a bunch of suspended proteins with a 1/2 inch white head. Aroma is clove, very herbal, sweet honey, and some general yeast spiciness round out the nose. Taste is the bright honey, some big clove, full on herbal - very big flavors, decent integration. Finish is straw and yeasty. Palate is medium to full, oily and mouth lining. Alcohol is present in the back. Interesting, with a bunch of big flavors competing for dominance, and perhaps a bit to heavy handed for my palate. Thanks for sharing this one Eugene.

bottle - Pours hazy orange with a white head. It smells of yeast, honey, and a variety of herbals. It has a sweet flavor with honey and berries evident. There’s a veritable cornucopia of herbal flavors and a slightly dry, yeasty finish that in some way reminded me of a saison though of course with more alcohol. It doesn’t really taste as high as 11% however. This beer is something completely different and I liked it.

Bottle Pours out a straw color topped with a small white head. Aroma of sweet honey and dry tea bags. Taste more of the spice and honey sweetness. Pretty easy going down for the 11%. thanks ditmier

pours mid-brown/orange, white head. Aroma of honey, herbal with light berry nose. Flavor, sweet honey with nice spicy/herbal mouthfeel. Palate has sour berry with wormwood adding an interesting dimension to the beer. Yeasty is also to be noted, with a nice berry/malty finish and a warming alcohol. The whole mix of honey and wormwood surely offer a new approach to the beer.

Beer smelled nice, a sweet and fresh fragrance. Honey and yeast. What to say about the taste? Honey, of course, yes it tasted very much honey. Berries, spices, juniper and some caramel. The beer also gave some Belgian vibe thanks to the yeast. Some heat from the alcohol.

Bottle. Thanks to ChristianScheffel. Pours unclear golden with a creamy fluffy head. Sweet and cloying nose and taste. Honey, berries and spices. Sticky and warm. Quite heavy.

Bottle. Pours a very cloudy rusty bronze with a white head. Aroma is full of flora notes with honey tones as well. Flavor has distinct notes of juniper with honey and a bit of tartness. Aftertaste is a bit bitter.

Hazy peach color - fizzy body - aroma of rye, wheat, a significant amount of sweaty character, wildflower honey, juniper - a lot of honey sweetness throughout, with some juniper bitterness and peppery/spicy qualities that try to balance it, but don’t quite get the job done - some belgian-ish esters through the middle - a little bit of that earthy, sweaty character from the aroma - warming and spicy in the finish, but the alcohol is pretty well-masked - a lingering rye kick - no noticeable wormwood for me, which is really a good thing - pretty complex, but too much honey sweetness.
