A special twist on the Finnish style Sahti, brewed at Nøgne Ø in cooperation between Dugges Brewery, Sweden, and Nøgne Ø of Norway. Brewed with rye and wheat, sea wormwood from the Swedish archipelago, juniper twigs from the Norwegian forests, honey from heather flowers in Telemark and three selected yeast strains from Belgium, Germany and Britain, and of course, some malt and hops too.

500 mL bottle courtesy of Proteus93. Thanks! Pours a golden amber color with a thin head. Good head retention and lacing. Big honey notes in the taste with strong solvent alcohol, spice, juniper, yeast, mint and faint fruity notes. Taste is honey, big alcohol notes, canned peaches, juniper and other spices, light yeast notes. Big mandarin orange and grapefruit notes develop as it warms. Full bodied and somewhat sticky. Pretty hot. Very interesting... nice beer.

Courtesy of Dakine. It pours sort of a murky brown copper with white head. The aroma is grainy and dry water depleted meadow with lingering floral flower pedal perfuminess and yeasty spice. The taste begins sweet with some honey to go along with notes of spices, floral hops, flower pedals and trying to be a bit grainy as well. It dries out into the finish become refreshing and requiring another quaff.

Huge, towering yellowish head, fed by very lively carbonation in hazy golden beer with an orange shine. Sharp, nearly animal scent, mixed with a truckload of honey, intermixed with some kind of green leafsmell. Very sweet generally. Sharp, turpentine-like flavour, solvent, pine and again a honey overdose, reinforcing some caramel malts. Sharp palate, burning MF. Medium bodied, but very slick - one can nearly feel the honey oozing. Not really my cup of tea. I’ve had Finnish sahti I appreciated more - maybe I wouldn’t like Spanish gueuze not too much either...

Bottle. Amber beer with an off-white head. Juniper, light malt, and light spice aroma. Rich malt flavor with juniper and spice. Medium-plus bodied. Rich malt and juniper lingers with spice and light herbal notes. Juniper is a very strong flavor in the beer. Different, but good.

Bottle, batch 382. Pours with a bronze body with a small white head. Aroma of spices, honey and spruce. Very pine forest like. Taste is honey, slightly bitter, wood like with spices. Alcohol is well hidden. Thin mouthfeel with lively carbonation. Reminds me a bit like DFH Midas Touch for some reason.

Pours deep amber into a stein. Cola head recedes leaving no lacing. Juniper and honey aromas. Crisp and dry with sweet honey upfront turning to a lasting flowery alcohol burn finish.

Bottle. Orange brown color, hazy. Juniper, citrus and mango in the aroma with rye bread. Sweetish, full bodied, alcoholic. Rye, puniper, lemon, touches of brett even, salt, honey. Phenolic. Good complexity. Quite alcoholic, but I like this one. The aroma even has touches of a matured lambic.
