Bright golden yellow color and aromas of rich tropical fruit, passion fruit with a hint of citrus. Pale, pilsner, and midnight wheat give it a solid malt character while Chinook, Citra, and Amarillo hops impart flavors of ripe tropical fruit, peach and apricot leading to a clean hoppy finish.

12 ounce can into tulip glass, no can dating. Pours slightly hazy/cloudy medium golden/amber color with a 2 finger dense and rocky off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a large cap that lasts. Thick foamy lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of grapefruit, tangerine, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, lemon zest, orange peel, light pepper/pine, honey, toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and moderate bready malt notes; with good strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, lemon zest, orange peel, light pepper, pine, honey, toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, lemon/orange peel, pepper, pine, honey, toasted bread, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and no astringent hop flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from bitterness, increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/sticky, and slightly resinous balance mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 7.5%. Overall this is a great IPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth and drinkable with the modestly bitter/drying finish. Great juicy/vibrant hops and balanced malts, without being overly sweet. A very enjoyable offering.

Can from Wine Warehouse. Pours a little hazy amber with a small off-white head. Aroma is very juicy citrus, a little tropical fruit, and some pine. Flavor is juicy citrus up front followed by bitter grapefruit and lemon peel, perhaps some orange notes too. A bit of a piney-grass-lemon peel finish.

This brew is a slightly hazed orange-gold color with a medium off-white head that dissipates steadily to a film. Short strings of lacing. Aroma of tropical fruit, hops and malt. Medium body with flavors of zesty citrus, resiny hops and malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a short fruity hop aftertaste. Decent overall.

12 oz. can, pours an opaque cloudy orange with a small, creamy white head. Aroma brings out a fresh bouquet of piney and resinous hops, with plenty of tropical stone fruitiness. Flavour brings out loads of overripe tropical stone fruits (peaches, nectarines), followed by resinous hops, a bit of pine and sweet caramel malt on the underside. Chewy, malty palate despite ample hops and fruitiness. Nicely constructed, though I could do with less chewiness and more hops.

Draft at BitterCreek. Milky, golden our, small head, sheets of lacing. Aroma and taste tread lightly in dank territory, fruity, hoppy, musty. Bitterness seems to ramp up at the end and lingers.

Sampled on draft at the Rivertowne Pub this beer poured a cloudy amber color with a large foamy orange-white head that left good lacing. The aroma was sweet and sugary with piney and fruity hops. The flavor was sweet and sugary with tropical fruit, grapefruit, lemon and a touch of alcohol. Long finish. Moderately full bodied. Well done.

I can see what they’re trying to do here, but they just can’t quite pull it off. Smells and tastes like an unbalanced bittersweet brew with tea.
