Povodni mož (The Water man) appears in Prešeren’s poetry as a handsome young man, seducing young women in Ljubljana, so we took his charm and put it in our West Coast IPA beer. The title “Slovenian beer of 2017” speaks for itself. In this American-Slovenian alliance we have put together domestic hops Aurora and American Centennial, Citra and Simcoe. The taste is a great combination of tropical and citrus fruits, so you will surely be persuaded by its freshness and juiciness.

opalescent pale yellow colour, medium sized dense off-white head; aroma of pine, grapefruit, orange zest, watery pineapple and some celery notes; well balanced bittersweet taste with the same notes as can be felt in the aroma and some biscuit; really good IPA

2026, on tap:
Tap at Prague Beer Fest 2026 - well felt it was the ideal moment to rerate hahah. Clear golden body, off-white ehad. Nicely perfumey resinous and herbal aroma, classic. Dank, minerally taste, light citric notes, bitterish finish. Bit less bitter than I like, but this I thought was the best beer GG had on tap that day! Another proof this brewery should be primarily judged by its tap beer... the cans... well, they cannot be guaranteed to be fresh.
2020, canned:
Can from SPAR Brežice or Mercator Brežice. Within the BB date. Which is in 3 weeks. So to be rerated. Still, it's within BB date and I paid full price for it, so this will stand till I can get it again. Why put a 12 month bb date on an IPA FFS?! Anywho. Misty orange body, huge, lasting white head, floaties. Orange and flowery notes, some dry maltiness, some oxidation, brown sugar. The taste... hmm... some flowery hop, some dry, grainy maltiness, a bitter kick in the finish. Well, likely good when fresh, like this.. nah, won't finish the can.

Can. A golden beer with a white head. The aroma has notes of hops, citrus fruits, malt, and a bit of caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of hops, citrus fruits, spices, malt, and a bit of caramel, leading to a bitter finish.

0,33 l can. Pours almost clear golden with small, quickly dissipating off white head. Aroma is pungent hop driven, pine, citrus, some mango, slightly grassy. Taste is medium sweet and heavy bitter. Body is rather thin, carbonation average, slick mouthfeel. Finish is long, hop driven and increasingly bitter. Heavy on hop, but it really lacks in body department, malt base is nowhere to be found. Drinkable with no off tastes, but poorly balanced.

Can, 0.33l. Hazy orange pour, half finger soapy white head. Short lasting but leaving nice lacing on the glass. Good hop character on the nose, pine, tropical, grassy. Thin body, medium to high carbonation. Prickly on the tongue, fizzy mouthfeel. Light texture. Nicely bitter taste with very subtle fruity tart. Strong hop aroma, notes of pine, grapefruit and orange peel. Juicy aftertaste. Mild caramel malt in the background. Long lasting spicy herbal finish, bitter and dry. Pretty good IPA. Well hopped, bitter and juicy.

Hazy, golden-yellow colored, medium white head. Aroma is of some malt, medium+ citrusy and tropical fruity hops. Taste is medium sweet malt, light caramel, bit grain, medium hoppy citrus, tropical fruit and herbal notes, medium+ bitterness with lasting aftertaste, dry finish. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, oily. Best one from the brewery, but could still have fresher hoppy aromas. (on tap, Sir Williams, Ljubljana)
