It has a harmonious taste of coffee and dark chocolate. Unlike most dark beers, it is not sweet. It has a balanced bitterness and a delicate malty taste. It is made from barley malt, special caramel and coloured malts, and two types of hops. It’s one of the most awarded beers in the world in our portfolio.

Malt: Weyermann Pilsner, Münchner Malz, Carafa
Hops: Magnum, Spalter Select

Trockener, röstig malziger Antrunk. Geringe Intensität, etwas herb, sehr trocken bleibend. Die Röstigkeit nimmt etwas ab, das Bier wird insgesamt milder. Trocken malziger Abgang. 10/9/8/8/7/7

Bottle [thanks to Secret Santa Europe] @ home. Dark brown color, medium sized beige to slightly brown head that lasts for a long time. Smell and taste malts, a bit earthy, lightly coffee, toasted malts, slightly roast, lightly bitter. Pretty useful dunkel imo. Medium body and carbonation.

Thanks to MisoW for the bottle. Shared with ThirstyBird. Neutral to malty nose. The beer starts quite dry, malty, a bit roasted. The body is full, chocolate, Espresso. Very nice. Slightly bitter. The aftertaste is long, not too thick, very nice roasted flavours, a bit bitter and nicely dry in the end. --> Great beer! 13/12/14/14

Bottled. A brown beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of butter, straw, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of lacto, straw, and caramel, leading to a dry finish.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a dark brown with an orange hue and a small off-white head. Tart, lactic nose overpowering most. Medium body, subtle roast but the heavy infection spoils everything. 180313
