It has a harmonious taste of coffee and dark chocolate. Unlike most dark beers, it is not sweet. It has a balanced bitterness and a delicate malty taste. It is made from barley malt, special caramel and coloured malts, and two types of hops. It’s one of the most awarded beers in the world in our portfolio.

Solidne niepasteryzowane piwo. Dosc ciezkawe, mocno palony slod sie zaznacza nieco slodyczy ale ustepuje w panujacym dlugim gozko palonym finiszu. Piwo ma srednia pianke szarego koloru, dosc ciemne, mocno metne, malo refleksow czerwieni. Piwo sprawia wrazenie przyciezkawego choc ma lekko ponad 5% alc.

Clear medium to dark brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, bread, rye bread, caramel, light roasted, light brown sugar. Flavour is moderate to light light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, rye bread, dusty, nutty, roasted. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20140228]

Bottle. Pours darm brown with a ruby shine, low brown head. Dark roasted caramel malt and sirup aroma. Medium light body. Roasted/carbonized entry, nutty notes, dark sugar, herbal and grassy hops. Medium light body, full mouthfeel. Raost, caramel aftertaste.

Bottle at Fastelavn Smagning 2014 @ J&C’s beer palace, Jutland 28/02/14. Chestnut brown with a moderate light beige covering that thins to spotting and edgework. Nose is toffee, dark fruit, bitter fruit notes, light spice. Taste comprises toffee, earthy ring, light cocoa powder, dark malts, fruitloaf. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying finale. Ok stuff, solid for style.

Bottle. A dense, two-finger beige head sits on top of a clear, dark brown body. Looking quite nice. The aroma has a nice roasted touch, with dark chocolate and a hint of coffee. Mostly on the dark malty side this one, not much hoppyness going on. The flavor too has the same roasted malts, with chocolate in the back. Full body and a pleasant carbonation, pretty dry too. Overall, a nice one indeed. 140228

Look: almost black with a mocha head.
Aroma: the aroma is not very powerful but nice: chocolate, licorice, dark bread crust, toasted.
Taste: quite rich, chocolate, dark bread crust, roasted malt, light bitterness, some co2 bite, black malts roasted finish.
A good tmavy, rich and tasty.
