American IPA - Samurai (americká verze India Pale Ale, která je daleko víc chmelenější než anglická IPA) je vařená přímo světoznámým sládkem z Japan’s Yo-Ho Brewing Co. Toshim Ishiim, který se specializuje na americké piva (IPA, Barley Wine,Porter atd.) a umí perfektně sypat chmel :-) spolupracoval s nejlepšími americkými sládky z malých pivovarů. Při vaření použil ty nejšpičkovější (a taky nejdražší) americké chmele: Columbus, Amarillo,Cascade a dosáhl tak chmelenosti cc 70-75 IBU (jednotek hořkosti) a lahodné komplexnosti.
Myslíme, že se jedná o jedno z nejlepších piv uvařených na území České republiky. Takové pecky se pak dělají jen v USA a v EU jen v těch NEJ minipivovarech, takže je to super příležitost seznámit se s takovou lahůdkou i v naší restauraci.

Hazy amber with little white head. Aroma is not much. Some musty butter/peas, tropical fruit, some forest aroma as well. Taste is more cooked vegetables, and a not so fresh sourness. Too watery mouthfeel and flat bitter finish. Didn’t like this one so much.

Tap at 20 PIP. Cloudy golden color with white head. Aroma is grassy hops, butter, the usual. Taste is buttery, grassy, bitter finish. Again, a very buttery and bitter IPA from Czechia. Would not have guessed an ABV this low, but well... It’s nothing special.

500ml bottle bought at PIPA Beer Story. A pearl white head leaving spotty lacing behind. Near clear golden body. Modest aroma of herbal hops and ripe citrus. Mixed taste profile of pineapple, caramel and jam. Finish off with a lingering drying bitterness. Medium bodied. Pretty decent(On the river boat Elbe Princesse, Prague 30.06.2016).

Bottle 0.5l. A bit cloudy, gold colored. AROMA- lightly sharp sourness, fruitiness- citrus, tropical fruits. FLAVOR- pleasantly sour, bitter, fruity. Medium bodied.

Tåkete gylden brun med lavt hvitt skum. Lukter syltetøy, bær og karamell. Mer IPA stil i smak. balansert, med middels lang bitter avslutning

Bottle. Pours amber with whiteish head. The head stays for some time. Aroma is sweet, fruits, spices, soap. Flavor is sweet, sour, and bitter, citrus, grapefruit, soap. Finish is grapefruit bitter and spices. Overall: ok.

On tap U Vodoucha, ?i?kov, Prague. Clear golden with small white head, some lacing. Soapy aroma, flowery hops. Light body, soft carbonation. Some herbal bitterness, like herbal candy, soapy after, tastes fake. Lousy IPA.

0,33 l bottle, bought directly at the brewery. Murky orange golden in the glass, a lot of sediments, small head. Orange fruity and hop on the nose. Taste is the same, malty with a pleasant hopy bitterness. Later too much citrus in my opinion. Except the bitterness little bit thinner in the aftertaste. And again a rough one from Kocour.

hazy golden color. Very very carbonated. Very clean, dry and fairly aggressively hopped nose. Grapefruits and pears resonate. The mouth is crisp, very much like a pilsner. Aggressive hops hit the back of the throat. Much more like an IPL than an IPA. I think the ABV could be cranked up a bit but otherwise this is a cracking beer.

Shared at Braukunst Live, Munich, thanks! orange hazy color, small white head. smells fruity, grains, mango, some light honeyish sweetness, some grapefruit. medium body, tastes grainy, citric, grapefruit, slight sweetness, medium bitter / grainy finish. good but a bit too grainy / malts coming through too much.
