American IPA - Samurai (americká verze India Pale Ale, která je daleko víc chmelenější než anglická IPA) je vařená přímo světoznámým sládkem z Japan’s Yo-Ho Brewing Co. Toshim Ishiim, který se specializuje na americké piva (IPA, Barley Wine,Porter atd.) a umí perfektně sypat chmel :-) spolupracoval s nejlepšími americkými sládky z malých pivovarů. Při vaření použil ty nejšpičkovější (a taky nejdražší) americké chmele: Columbus, Amarillo,Cascade a dosáhl tak chmelenosti cc 70-75 IBU (jednotek hořkosti) a lahodné komplexnosti.
Myslíme, že se jedná o jedno z nejlepších piv uvařených na území České republiky. Takové pecky se pak dělají jen v USA a v EU jen v těch NEJ minipivovarech, takže je to super příležitost seznámit se s takovou lahůdkou i v naší restauraci.

Tap. Sheffield Tap. Hazy gold. Messy, suddy, white head. Lager malt on the nose. Some gooseberry. Lemon rind. Taste is tangy bitter. Plenty of dry. Zingy, slightly tart palate. Finishes short, pithy bitter. Ok.

Draft @ GBBF 2014. Pours a hazy golden color with a longlasting white head. Has a fruity grassy hoppy citrus aroma. Fruity malty grassy hoppy flavor. Has a fruity malty grassy hoppy finish.

From tap at Prague Beer Museum (N. Míru). Misty golden body. Herbal, dry, citric (sweetish), dusty lovely aroma, quite fresh too, light gum. Fresh herbal bitter assault, lasting, countered with some gum, very, very tasty. The herbal bitter aftertaste lasts a long, long time. Now, we’ve had 3 Matuška’s pale ales before that day, this pretty much beat all of them except for the insanely good California. A bit sad I haven’t had more Kocours on that trip, but delighted they are still so awesome.

it has been quite difficult to pour; finally there is a cloudy golden liquid in the glass, with generous compact head. The aroma not only is malty and fruity, but also quite clearly buttery. The mouthfeel is smooth; the malt flavor has a grainy character (appreciated); strong bitterness and strong hopping, with hop oils and a grassy accent, not much fruity; luckily the diacetyl is not apparent.
Good one, and different from the American style.

Keg at GBBF ’14, day 1, 12/08/14. Clear golden amber with a moderate light beige covering. Nose is citric peel, orange squash, bready notes, light minerals. Taste comprises orange pith, citric tinged straw, mandarin. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, smei drying close with earthy hop bitterness. Ok IPA.

Had this on draught at GBBF, Olympia, London, Tuesday 12th August 2014 Pours gold, light haze with a slight white head. Refreshing hoppy beer, quite lagery, bit of dusty furniture on nose, bitter aftertaste. Good. A6 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.7

Draft at The Great British Beer Festival 2013. Poured a hazy golden colour with a medium white head. Aroma of lemon zest, apricot and biscuit. Residual pine resin and dry grain.
