American hops dominate this Rye IPA, creating an assertive citrus and passion fruit character. An old-world flavor from rye malt adds the perfect compliment to Goose Juice’s big, satisfying hop flavor and aroma. Originally home-brewed by our beloved brewer Goose, its wonderful combination of flavors inspired us to brew this specialty IPA.

650ml bottle. Slightly cloudy orangey golden colour with average to huge, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head of low density. Citrusy hoppy aroma with notes of tangerine, mango, passion fruit, additionally a perfumed touch comparable to fragrant/basmati rice. Taste is minimally sweet fruity, notes of grapefruit and passion fruit, malty basis with a note that must stem from the rye, bitter, minimally biting hoppy overtones; the biting part feels like a combination of hop, green pepper and lemon. Not the worst thing to happen to rice.

Bottle from Ølbaren, Copenhagen
Hazy dark amber color, with creamy and persistent head. The hop aroma is moderate but pleasant, a bit grassy, lightly resiny, and something more (must be the rye). The mouthfeel is smooth, the body is well structured and yet lean; good flavor of caramel with a light darker cereals quid, and a creamy touch; good bitterness level, never excessive; everything is well blended together.
Pleasant, well brewed, elegant.

Bottled. Slightly hazy orangeish amber colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is a bunch of citrus, mild rye bread, some tropical fruits and a quite nice bready and toffeeish malty base to it. Flavour is rather similar, and though being rather hoppy it’s still very nicely balanced. Mild nettle-like notes in the finish.

Bomber. Cloudy deep golden body. Frothy, off-white head, diminishing. Aroma citrus, pine, rye, orange, straw. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Clean, dry in the finish. Clean and fruity — melon, orange juice, citrus — balanced with nuanced resin, pine hops. Body stands up with toasted grain malts. Finish with some rye twang. Nice IPA.
