American hops dominate this Rye IPA, creating an assertive citrus and passion fruit character. An old-world flavor from rye malt adds the perfect compliment to Goose Juice’s big, satisfying hop flavor and aroma. Originally home-brewed by our beloved brewer Goose, its wonderful combination of flavors inspired us to brew this specialty IPA.

65 cl bottle @ lusikka, no BBE info
Aroma is quite stale with some fruits, hints of gooseberry bush and vanilla. Palate is creamy but too high on CO2. Flavour is hoppy with gooseberry bush, some fruits and fruit juice. Not my thing but decent anyway.

660ml bottle from Bierkompass
Pours dark orange with a foamy head. Aroma of berries, fruits, some hints of malts and hops. Taste is quite fruity and juicy with notes of berries, hops, malts and hints of rye.. Finish is juicy and slightly fruity with hints of berries and rye. Okay, a bit untypical for an IPA with its juicy berry notes, but still quite tasty.

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes citrusy hops, caramel, malt, and some spices. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, dusty hops, over ripe fruites, spices, and citrus fruits, leading to a dry and bitter finish.

Hazy pale amber with a small white head. Huge fruity hop aroma, with passion fruit, orange, tangerine. Sweetish tropical fruit juice flavour with a dill/herbal/bubblegum aftertaste suggesting Sorachi Ace. Very subdued bitterness, maybe even a little lacking for an IPA

(Re-rate, keg at Alus Celle, 20170106) The rye was more intense in this keg version. Otherwise the old rating applies to this one, too. No changes in the score. Old rating: (Bottle, 0.65 l, at Kaisla, 20120908) The beer poured amber and hazy. Its head was small and white. Aroma had fruitiness, malts and rye bread. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, citricness, malts, rye bread, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy and bitter. Nicely balanced beer with a good hop bite and pleasant rye flavour.
