This naturally cloudy amber Hefeweizen has a firm, creamy head and reveals fragrances of peach, apricot and citrus on the nose. The initial impression on the palate is of a bouquet of aromas, including subtle touches of banana plus refreshing grapefruit from the American Chinook hops. The fruity peach and apricot notes from the Amarillo hops are balanced by the gentle sweetness of the caramel malt. The beer has a delicate tartness that melds into a harmonious mouthfeel on the finish.

Thanks to Erzengel for sharing! Bottle looks really good. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head. Starts fine malty-yeasty, some interesting fruity notes of apricot and peaches. Finish a bit moldy-malty. Nice!

Bottle. Cloudy honey yellow in glass. Aroma: spiciness, banana, fruit, hop playing around. Medium minus body. Taste: balanced banana, spicrs, fruit, hop. Solid bitterness based on clean and right Weizen. Conventional hop. Well-integrated. Succeded. Weihenstephaner.

Halvtørr, delikat bitterhed i finishen. Mersmak så det holder.

33cl bottle on 2nd Aug 2018 in Dicke Wirtin, Berlin. Hazy golden body, white crown. The American hops change the Hefenweizen in both the traditional aroma and taste (as you'd expect), but there is still the wheat element that over rides the hops. So you get a little sweetness, banana esters and vanilla as usual but with a mild citrus leaning and bitterness from the hop content that isn't there in a traditional one. Liked it.

Tap at Brasserie V. Balanced, bready, with a respectable hop tone. Still maintains a nice, classic feel. Really well executed. Unfiltered tan body. Solid balanced IPL..but I guess IPH.

Bottle from beer[malade]. Hazy golden color with medium white head. Aroma of banana, slightly overlapped by citrus hops. Taste, wheat, banana, bubblegum, overlapped by citrus hops. Nice hoppy bitter finsh. Unusual but tasty.

Bottle. A high quality beer like everything from Weihenstephanee. Some bubblegum and a little banana. Quite sweet. The hops are there in the flavor, giving a bitter flavor also. Nicelacing head and a cloudy opaque beer. Refreshing in the warm weather.

Draught at Publick House, 6/19/18.
Muddy caramel-maize orange. Large, white head fades slowly to cover.
Classic hefe nose with an extra dose of malt, perhaps. Some cascade-like hop (pine, marmalade, grapefruit). Light on the bubble gum, though it's there, of course, with low clove, lots of honey and wheat. Rich biscuit and light dough. No flaw or alcohol.
Soft, malty and wheat-heavy in the mouth with a pretty straight comparison to regular Weihenstephaner, though perhaps a little matlier, as the nose suggested. Hop character is vague, not all that noticeable, with some bitterness mixing with phenols to create a slightly odd bitterness on the end. Dries out nicely, though, on the end, with continuing soft wheat textures, tight carbonation and low clove. Very drinkable and refreshing.

330ml bottle. Hazy, orangey, bright golden colour with average to huge, thick, creamy, mostly lasting, fairly lacing, white head. Fruity wheaty and fruity hoppy, yeasty spicy aroma, notes of banana, peach, apricot, hints of orange, mandarine, mirabelle, some clove, nutmeg, white pepper, a grassy-spicy hoppy touch as well. Taste is sweet-ish, fruity, wheaty and hoppy, notes of banana, mandarine, hints of peach and mirabelle, a yeasty spicy touch of clove and nutmeg; smooth and soft palate, gentle carbonation. Excellent!
