The latest beer in our experimental Abstrakt series. Fans of Bashah Special Reserve get excited: for it is deep within that collaborative gem that AB:12 found it’s liquid inspiration. AB:12, which has just been transferred from oak casks back into one of our tanks, is a 11.2% imperial black Belgian ale which has been aged for 8 months in single grain Scotch whisky casks with a medley of fresh Scottish berries (tayberries, blackberries & raspberries).

(Bottle) Black colour with brief, foamy head. Quite flat. Malty, fruity, vinous nose with espresso, oak wood, whisky, dark chocolate, raisins, sweet liquorice, brown sugar and hints of blackberries. Malty, fruity taste with notes of black coffee, oak wood, chocolate, liquorice, roasted nuts, orange peel, raspberries, blackberries, vanilla, a touch of tar and a mild roasty bitterness in a vinous finish. Almost full body, with a touch of sweetness. Complex and tasty, with an interesting combination of coffee, wood and wild berries. Very nice.

Bottle 2657 of 9829. Almost black with a purple haze. No head. Roast, cassis and lots of berry fruit in the aroma. Hardly any carbonation. Malty sweet, caramelly roasty nutty flavor with lots of berry fruit. Well hidden alcohol. Coffee and cassis in the aftertaste.

Bottle 0.375l. Black. AROMA- chocolate, whiskey, dark fruit, raspberries, blackberries. FLAVOR- slightly sweet, warming alcohol, chocolate, pralines, liquer, fruity, raspberries and blackberries, raisins, whiskey. Full bodied.

Flaska från någonstans. Flaska nr: 5197 av 9829 stycken. Tappad 121212. Smak och doft av choklad, blåbär, mörk torkad frukt, russin, svarta vinbär och hallon. Fin kropp och sötma, fruktig, bra balans, lätt, väl dold alkohol, svag kolsyra, viss syrlighet, svag beska.

Semmi hab, vörösbe hajló fekete szín. Csodás illat, csokis, vörösbogyós, markáns whiskys-hordós beütéssel enyhe karamellel. Pörkölt malátás, csokis, kávés alap, markáns whiskeys fedéssel, édeskés, erős gyümölcsös-piros bogyós és aszalt gyümölcsös beütéssel. Testes, enyhén kesernyés és szénsavas. Kissé alkoholos, de még ez is jól áll neki. Isteni sör.

Bottle courtesy of Deanso. Poured a clear dark brown with a round white head. The aroma is strong molasses, wet malt, rich fruit, raisins, alcohol. The flavour is moderate sweet with a smooth, rich, red berry fruit, alcoholic palate. Full to medium bodied with soft carbonation.
