100% Brettanomyces dark beer, fermented in stainless and aged in used red wine barrels. “Brett” is a unique yeast strain that produces flavors that would be offensive if they weren’t intentional. Flavors of sour cherry, tobacco, oak, and classic “Brett” barnyard funk, balanced by Dark Munich malt chewiness. Enjoy immediately or age at cellar temperature for a couple years.

Bottle courtesy of Casey & Traci, thanks! consumed in company of Casey & Traci 09.07.13 Pours reddy/brown with a rim of bubbles. Tingle tastic on the tongue with a dab of balsamic, sour and malty this is lovely. This beer has a Rodenbach character which I like. I like the woodiness, I like the furriness on the tongue, I like this beer its really decent. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov16 3.9

Bottle thanks to a trade! Pours a slightly hazy deep amber with a light creamy brown head that dissipates to the edges quickly. Aroma has a strong note of sour red fruits with a decent amount of acid and a hint of dark grains. Flavor has a strong note of sour red fruit with a growing note of acidity and light notes of dark grains and funk towards the finish which is a touch thin.

Tap at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2013. Pours clear amber with a fine, tan cream head. Tangy-fruity nose, light funk, leather. Medium sweet flavor, light tart raspberry, leathery and jammy fruits. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sweet finish with further tart and leathery fruits, some mild vinegar notes. Good stuff.

25.4 oz bottle purchased at Zipps in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The pour is a cloudy brown burgundy with a smallish light tan head. The aroma is a nice soft lacto and Brett, vinegar, bright acidity, some berry fruit, and tannins from the wine barrels. The taste is the lacto vinegar, pleasant bite, moves to the berry, then shows a soft cocoa and roast that was not present in the nose, and was a bit of a surprise. An interesting lemon citrus comes out as the beer warms. The palate is medium bodied, though thins out some as it warms. The carbonation is light and prickly. The aftertaste has the dry bite of the vinegar. Easy drinking beer.

CBC. Bit of tired end of session rating. Light haze on this dark amber beer, little pale tan head. Light crisp palate. Minerals. Light Flemish sourness. Semi dry and crispy - minerally finish.

750 thanks to Kyle. Pours a deep brown/red color with a small white head. Very big aromas of wine, brett, sour fruit. The flavor is woody, deep intense at times dark sour fruit, some brown malt, vinous and clear brett. A bit like a Flanders Red/Brown. Great. Cool bottle as well.
