(Bottle, 0.33 l, at laiti’s, 20150613, thanks) The beer poured black. Its head was small and lightly brown. Aroma had coffee, liquorice, burnt malts and cocoa. Palate was full bodied and dry with medium carbonation. Flavours were coffee, burnt malts, liquorice, sweetness, ash and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet and burnt. A well done tasty brew.

Aroma has sweet, roasted malt and rubbery tones. Also coffee and some alcohol. Flavour has sweet syrupy tones, alcohol, some rubbery notes and hints of coffee. I partly agree with TBone, this is Mikkeller Black. Not sure about the benefits though.

Bottle 0.33l at Laiti’s, Helsinki. Thanks to tiong! Colour is black with very small brownish head. Aromas and flavours: Licorice, some dark chocolate and roasted malts. Nicely soft and warming.

Pours pitch black with a brown head. Aroma of roasty malts, sweet syrup, cocoa, dark chocolate, licorice, coffee and mocha. Taste is heavy, sweet and sugary with loads of syrup, dark chocolate, muscovado, roasty malts and licorice. Finish is heavy, syrupy and dark chocolatey with loads of licorice, roasty malts and brown sugar. Quite heavy and massive.

Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, coffee, wood. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, molasses - caramel - sweet malt, roasted, chocolate. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light to moderate alcoholic. [20150411]

Opaque color, small brown creamy head, some lace. Coffee, licorice, brown sugar in the nose. Full-bodied, very heavy stuff. Front is alcohol and rubbery roasted maltyness. Finish has lots of licorice. Robust but slick slow beer. Like Mikkeller Black with benefits.

Bottle @ Post-Easter Procrastination, Ulfborg. Pours hazy very dark brown with airy tan head. Dark aroma of chocolate, malt, caramel, coffee and roast. Sweetish flavour of chocolate and caramel malt, with notes of coffee and smoke and touches of vanilla. Lingering, sweetish aftertaste. Warming alcohol presence. Big beer. Nice.

Bottle at the School’s Out Tasting, thanks to me!. Pours dark brown with a thin tan head. Aromas of liquorice, tar, earthy. Taste is more of the same. Bit thin on the finish.
