After the never ending battle between the hop heads and sour lovers we decided to appease the two. Using Nelson Sauvin from New Zealand and Citra from the Pacific North West this mixed fermentation brew is juicy, sour and extremely refreshing. Sour & hops in perfect, thirst quenching, melody!

Very nicely done hopped kettle sour. You smell big hops of resin and pine as soon as you pour., put you nose in there and sour grapes too. The taste is really well balanced with strong vinegar bite, resin and pine with a underlying mild sweetness. Nicely done.

Super hazy golden coloured body with a thinnish, single centimetre tall, pure white head. Aroma of tart fruits, light yeast, some subtle wheat elements and a dry, grassy profile that shows through just about everything else. Light-bodied throughout; Strong grassy flavour at first with some herbal notes with a light tart and soured note, mainly from the kettle, but from some of the ingredients, with a dose of tropical fruits and even some citrus at the tail end. Aftertaste shows some dry flavours with the yeast and malts by far the strongest, with a touch of herbs and grain and a little tart element towards the end, mainly from citrus and soured notes. Overall, a nice enough soured beer with more of a wheatie (german unfiltered hef) flavour and profile than anything else, but some nice soured and tart notes that make this complex and enjoyable throughout. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can purchased from Whole Foods in Clarendon (Arlington) on 29-October-2018 for US$3,49, a day after running the USMC Marathon 2018, sampled at home in my house here in Washington on 15-January-2019.

At Svijet piva, Zagreb, with Marko. Murky yellow with a minimal head. Nice lactic acidic aroma profile, nice fruity citrus aromas, kiwi, floral and lightly malty. Sour kick, light sourness develops, tart, juicy, light hop flavours, fruity finish. Medium body, moderate carbonation, creamy, slightly sharp. A very good sour, good balance, nice clean fruity profile.

Tap at Brasserie V. The Nelson shines through really well, the sour taking it more in the wine direction. Really mild, I almost get a vegetal hot pepper tone. OK.

27/11/2018. Can from Beautiful Beers, Bury St Edmunds. As Collective Project / Dry Hop Sour. 5.0% abv. Pours clear very pale gold with a short lasting white head. Aroma of hops, lime, lemon, coriander, green mango, flowers and yeast. Light sweetness, moderate bitterness, medium to heavy sour. Moderate body, oily and watery texture, average carbonation. Increasing bitterness and a slightly salty edge to finish. Pretty good.

Burk från SB. Tack Samuel214. Backlog. Guldisig med vitt skum. Friska fruktiga toner av tropisk frukt blandas med citronsyrlighet. Ganska clean och straight-forward syrlig, torrhumlad IPA. Balanserad.
