Hazy orange pour with a hoppy, tropical fruit aroma. The flavor has crisp, tropical fruit heavy hops with some pine and a big malt presence to balance it. Medium body. Very good.

Bottle from 8 Degrees Plato. Pours a hazy gold with a finger of white foam that lingers. Passion fruit, citrus, peach and dank on the nose. Prickly pear with good carbonation. Crisp and clean. Lingering tropical fruit & pine with almost no trace of the 8.5%. Really nice effort from Lagunitas & Short's. --- Beer merged from original tick of Fluxed In Paradise on 31 Aug 2019 at 19:18 - Score: 8. 12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 7/23/2019. Pours hazy deep golden amber/light orange color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and rocky of white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, coconut, guava, red apple, gooseberry, white grape/wine, citrus peel/rind, mint, cedar, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops, fruity/spicy yeast, and bready malt notes; with big strength. Taste of big tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, coconut, guava, red apple, gooseberry, white grape/wine, citrus peel/rind, mint, cedar, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness; and yeast spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, coconut, guava, red apple, gooseberry, white grape/wine, citrus peel/rind, mint, cedar, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops, fruity/spicy yeast, and bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitter/spiciness balance, and no lingering hop astringency after the finish. Moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitter/spiciness. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy, and sticky/resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 8.5%. Overall this is a fantastic DIPA. All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops, fruity/spicy yeast, and bready malt flavors; very smooth, easy, and fairly crisp to drink with the modestly bitter/resinous/drying finish; not overly aggressive. Fantastic Sabro, Cashmere, Southern Passion hops; and Kviek yeast profile. Extremely juicy, vibrant, dank, earthy hops with fruity/spicy yeast; and a nice bready malt backbone. Mild residual sweetness with crisp resin dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and outstanding style example as expected of both breweries.
