Aloha! My name is Ralphie and I'm difficult tropical in the widest sense of the word. I am a fresh, smooth and slightly cloudy Weizen. Truly a fruit basket in a glass. Do you want to be my friend?

On tap at Bondgenoot Craft Beer Festival. Hazy pale yellow (like a nectar), with a white head. Bananas, hop bitterness, a bit of pineapple and a harsh brett-like bitterness in the aftertaste.

Sampled from tap at NHB 2016. Hazy, straw yellow with a white head. Fruity-grassy aroma of lemon, grapefruit and hints of banana. Slightly bitter, grassy-fruity taste of lemon, grapefruit and some banana, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly yeasty-spicy finish. Medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Very nice!

Bottle at home. Very hazy yellow golden with big off white head. Lots of tropical fruits indeed with pineapple, mango and passion fruit. Some light dough, bread, bitter grassy notes, chalk, dry dusty and flour notes. Some yeast but not typical weizen at all. Light sweet and bitter. Under medium bodied with dry but also doughy feel. Quite nice actually.

Bottle at home. Cloudy golden with big white head. Fruity up front, exotic, mango, pineapple, grassiness, distant doughiness, dank marijuana and yeastiness. Light sweet and light bitter. Just under medium body, over average carbonation. Fruity finish fades into a long lasting stale bitter, skunky aftertaste. Nothing at all like a German hefe weizen but a nice and refreshing fruity and hoppy pale ale. There’s a flatness to the palate and a bitter watery chalkiness in the taste, not sure if thats working for or against it. Nice thirstkiller.

Straw blond colour. Flavour is a bit musty and flat. Bitter finish but lacks depth and complexity.
