Brutally sweet, with enough maple to grow cloy on the front end, then even more so on the lactose-heavy back end. Chocolate, caramel, vanilla all pop up, as does a slight fig and black cherry note, but this pint's about an unending oozing flood of maple, to the point of being undrinkable as it grows saccharine and medicinal in the fade. I'll never understand how beers this unforgivably sweet rate so high on this site. Jesus.

Can from Craft Brewed shared at Lucky Bamboo. Pours a deep brown to black with a finger of brown head that lingers. Lovely dark roasted malt, milk chocolate, cacao nib, caramel and maple aromas on the nose. Fairly thick on the palate with a nice chewy brownie character. Light smoked caramel and vanilla with more maple syrup flavors. Lingering coffee and maple on the palate. Very nice,.

16 ounce can into snifter, canned on 3/19/019. Pours opaque dark brown/black color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy khaki head with amazing retention, that reduces to a large cap that lasts. Thick foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, maple syrup, molasses, toffee, vanilla, cream, toasted biscuit, roasted nuts, and dark/brown bread/crust; with lighter notes of licorice, raisin, prune, fig, date, smoke, charcoal, wood, herbal, grass, pepper, pine, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of dark/roast/black/bready malts, lactose, maple syrup, and light-moderate fruity yeast/earthy hop notes; with great strength. Taste of huge milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, maple syrup, molasses, toffee, vanilla, cream, toasted biscuit, roasted nuts, and dark/brown bread/crust; with lighter notes of licorice, raisin, prune, fig, date, smoke, charcoal, wood, herbal, grass, pepper, pine, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Light-moderate pine, herbal, woody, grassy, peppery hops; and roast/charred bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, maple syrup, molasses, toffee, vanilla, cream, toasted biscuit, roasted nuts, dark/brown bread/crust, licorice, dark fruit, smoke, charcoal, wood, herbal, grass, pepper, pine, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/black/bready malts, lactose, maple syrup, and light-moderate fruity yeast/earthy hop flavors; with an awesome hop/char bitter/sweet balance; and no cloying, acrid, astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering hop/char bitterness. Medium carbonation and fairly full body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/velvety/bready, fairly sticky/chalky, and lightly slick mouthfeel that is great. Mild increasing warmth of 10%, with no booze lingering after the finish. Overall this is a fantastic flavored imperial stout. All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/black/bready malts, lactose, maple syrup, and light-moderate fruity yeast/earthy hop flavors; very smooth and dangerously easy to sip on for the ABV, with the mellowly bitter/charred/drying finish. Amazing balance of super rich malts, maple syrup, and lactose; with balancing earthy hops, and restrained fruity yeast notes. Light residual sweetness with lingering hop/char bitter dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and outstanding dessert style example as expected. Not overly sweet or bitter/charred either way.
