Pours very dark brown, nearly black, but not jetblack. Medium small, medium-light tanned head faades fast. Scent is roasted malts, strong and pretty straightforward. maple is hidden, but can be recongnized. Taste is full, maple, roasted, coffee, intense dark chocolate. Very mild bitterness. Mild ashy undertone. Lactose aroma, but not overly sweet in general, due to the higher-than-average bitterness in a stout of this genre. Medium body ( not as thick as I would have hoped) , medium carbo. Very decent, but not what I had in mind.

Sample at the meeting last night Solid black color with a decent sized frothy tan head. Maple and brown sugar sweetness on the nose with a hint of roast. The flavor is mostly maple and it cloyingly sweet, I had trouble finishing a sample its just too sweet.

16 oz can from Tavour. Near black pour, head fades to flat. Aroma and taste are chocolate, maple, light milky elements. A bit sweet, and a bit savory, cinnamon. Breakfast flavors throughout. Slightly sticky. --- Beer merged from original tick of (collab with) Listermann Wisconsin Stout - Barrel Aged on 02 Aug 2021 at 19:29 - Score: Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 8 | Flavor - 9 | Texture - 10 | Overall - 8. Original review text: Bomber from Tavour. Near black, silky pour with a small, thin beige head. Boozy, sweet aroma, roasty malts and maple. Taste adds a touch of cinnamon to the sweet, warm malts and maple, giving it a bit of a breakfast vibe. Pretty strong and sweet, but with a luscious feel.

Keg at MKE Burger Appleton, 6/3/19. Black, large creamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of maple, molasses, vanilla. Taste is maple, chocolate, vanilla, lactose, mild roast. Medium bodied, sweet, booze well hidden. Very sweet.
