"Sometimes when you’re drunk you can see better."

This is the lager. This is the pilsner, the lager, the bottom fermented beer. This is the Captain on the deck, one of the lone lagers cruising on the ocean of ale. To Øl actually loves lager type beers, and sometimes lagers is missed out because of the many great ales present. Problem is that most people who brew lagers apparently has a taste of old dusty piss yellow obnoxious stale impotent beers. So now was the time to stir things up and tell the people how you can do a super hoppy, well balanced pilsner type beer!

Can from Pezinská pivná pumpa. Hazy amber with stable white head. Aroma is getting really close to IPA, hoppy, citruses, bit dull in the end though, a honey? Taste is nice hoppy, with grass in the beginning slowly moving to good bitter finish. Is this really a lager? Good.

Keg at the brewdog Berlin mitte. A clear deep amber copper coloured pour with a loose white head. Aroma is crisp clean nutty malts, liquorice, black malts, tobacco, pine needle, fresh hop. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, nutty, liquorice black sugars, pine needles,. Palatr is semi sweet, rounded, frothy carbonation. Interesting beer.

Pours a hazy light orange with a very nice big and quite dense head that stays. Good lacing. Aroma shows a kind of resinous/grassy feel, though with a softish feel to it, plus juicy notes of orange and grapefruit (something like citrus marmalade may be the best attempt at defining this). Overall it’s nice and quite vivid. Taste follows the aroma. The slightest maltish/caramel entry, a soft grassy/resinous feel, juicy citrus marmalade. Medium sweet and medium bitter. Again pleasant and quite vivid, but finish is slightly chewy/dirty (not as clean as one would expect from a lager, though very much passable). Light to medium body with average carbonation, overall quite soft and going down easy. A very easy drinker and a nicely refreshing beer. Well done.

Kicsi, tartós, piszkosfehér hab, narancsba hajló félbarna szín. Citrusos, déligyümölcsös, fűszeres illat. Markán, citrusos, déligyümölcsös, némileg fűszeres ízek, kevés gyantával. Halványan kiviláglik a lágeres alap is.
