Pour is a black with a large tan head. Aroma is vanilla wafers with a bit of roasted malt. Flavor is some vanilla extract with a minor roasted malt with some marshmallow sweetness. This was ok. A bit more sweet then I would like but this has plenty of the advertised vanilla.

Can from Trader Joe's. Pours a deep brown to black with a finger of beige foam that lingers, then dissipates. Aromas of coconut, vanilla, cacao nib and slight tobacco. Fairly smooth on the palate with a slight creamy note from the lactose. More dry cacao nib, espresso notes and faint coconut and roasted malt. Lingering dryness on the finish with coffee and cacao. Drier overall than expected.

Easygoing milk stout, with a balanced presentation of milk chocolate, roast, and a needed bitter finish. Lactose offers up vanilla in the fade, while the middle is full of coffee cherries, mocha, and hints of anise. Milk sugar comes on a bit too strong for comfort on the back end--there's a marshmallow vein I'm not particularly loving--but the bitterness helps shore up any cloy notes. Not a classic, but drinkable.
