New rating: So, I got a 24 pack of this in 16 oz cns from my distributor because it was old stock. Well, let me tell you it was better than expected. The old rating gave it a some what ale attribute but this new stuff is not bad! Gentle mild and friendly I was quite surprised! Maybe they fixed the old recipe and now i think its better! East going, civilized and even keel! Got to hand it to yah! not bad overall. Much better than it used to be. And guess what? It smells better too! Old rating; Yes, another Anheuser-Busch Companies, Inc. Pretty good disguise. Just like Green Valley Brewing Stone Mill Pale Ale, I was fooled by new labels. Mild soiled diaper aroma. Ropey non alcohol flavors and texture. Uniquely imbecilic name. Clear bottle and yellow ubiquitous american lager look. How about this; it says brewed by Margaritaville Brewing in Jacksonville! Processed feel and finish. Not bitter but metallic and cardboard at time. Sometimes I think I can feel unsweetened lemon rind in the background.

Clear bottle. Decent aroma of malt and hop. It’s not a Bud smell. Darkish gold color with a typical macro white head. Near medium body with creamy/fizzy carbonation. The flavor is a little biscuity. The hop is pretty mild. More herbal than grassy. There is some lacing. It’s not corny and is in no way offensive. A herbal note in the finish. It’s an amazing product for AB.

Bottle: Poured a clear golden color with little head. The aroma was weak and skunky. The taste is similar to corona, maybe a bit more constent. Macro!

Summer 2007...pale golden color, off white foamy head...smells a little like corona, and a lot like an ordinary lager...a little citrus aroma, very faint...light bodied, light flavor, with a suggestion of creaminess...easy to drink...this beer is selling like crazy right now, and I see the appeal, it screams summer time...don’t care for the aftertaste in my mouth...sour and drab

Bottle. Expecting more schtick than decency. Margaritaville/Anheuser-Busch? Come on, this can’t be good. Pours dark straw with a thin but voluminous head and good lacing. Aroma is of a skunk drunk on spiked fruit punch. Taste is not what I was expecting. I was expecting Carib, but it is a lot smoother. Pretty smooth as a matter of fact. Still some tartness though. Easily drinkable, but still watery as all hell. If your alternative is Natty Light, go with this. If your alternative is rancid water, go with the dysentery. That is probably a bit strong, but still, I won’t remember this five minutes after I finish it.

Bottle. Sour corn malt aroma. Pale yellow color with small head. Light sour corn malt flavor. An obvious attempt to squeeze into the Corona market - just slightly better. Jimmy biting the hand that fed him.

Anheuser-Busch’s attempt at selling Corona (or the superior Sol). So they’ve attempted to dupe people into thinking it’s a "Jimmy Buffet" beer. Of course it’s his "favorite" - he’s been paid to shill it out by slapping his name on it for a quick buck. Personally I don’t think he’s had it. It tastes just about like Corona, and that’s about that.
