On tap. Pours a hazy amber golden with a tiny, rough white head. Distinct aroma of horse manure and old sweat. Light body, completely flat, tart fruitiness and astringently dry Brett accents and a fairly solid hop bitterness in the finish. Has a biscuity touch also. 261110

Bottled. A hazy red beer with a rim of off-white head. The aroma has notes of brettanomyces, lemon, and barnyard. The flavor is only lightly acidic and also somewhat sweet, though the acidity bites lightly on the sides of the tongue. The flavor has light notes of brettanomyces, barnyard, and metal, leading to a lightly tart finish where a note of grapefruit appears.

Cloudy golden with a lasting white head. Lots of grass and hay in the nose, with citrus and a touch of green tobacco. Sweet grassy flavour with some fruit and a mild tartness. Bitter hop finish

tap at ørsted ølbar cloudy orange no head. Mild hoppy and slightly sour aroma6 flavor is pretty strange. Wood, grass, sour beer, herbal notes. There is a candy-herbal-grassy-hoppy-bittersweet note to this that i dont like i think it is the combination.

24th September 2010. Borefts Beer Festival II. Served by the great man himself! Cheers Alex!
Hazy gold beer, no real head. Sweetish paint nose! Light dry palate, turns a little softer. Tangy lemon and grapefruit again with that odd but not unpleasant sweet paint note in the background. Finishes dry. Original score 3.3.

2 year old version on tap at the CP&K. Abv is 7.0%. Clear amber beer, no head. No carbonation. Dry palate. That paint taste is still here put less prevelant and sweeter. Some light but resonant hop. Nice hop -sour combo to the dry finish. Enjoyed this much more 2nd time around although fellow ratebeerians OJ83 and nate2G weren’t digging it at all!

[9/24/10] Draught at Borefts Beer Festival 2010. Hazy orange. Aroma of flowers, citrus, some barnyard and some earth. Sour citrusy flavor with brett and a bitter-sour finish with lots of grapefruit and a bit of vinegar. Flat mild mouthfeel. The hops and the lambic somewhat clash but it’s still pretty good.

Draught at Borefts Beer Festival 2010, courtesy of Alex, Marco and Fabio - grazie! This was both the most sour and the most bitter of the three lambics that Alex had at the festival.
