Tap @ BBF 2010. Black berries in the aroma. Moderately sour flavor with grassy herbal citric hops and blackberrries. Herbal finish with blackberries. Good complexity.

Draught at Ørsted, Copenhagen, Nov 2010
Cloudy amber color, flat look. The aroma is peculiar, very cheesy, feet, stracchino cheese, light grass. The mouthfeel is too flat; there is a too high cheesy and ammonia note; soft mouthfeel because of the carbonation; the underlying Lambic is at the same time interesting and difficult, chalky, fruity (very dry grapefruit); the hop seems to have, mostly, a grassy side, fresh wood sap; the result is unrefined but interesting.

Keg at Mikkeller & Friends - Copenhagen. Pours cloudy gold with a mellow, white foam head. Plenty of grass and melon, moderate bitterness. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Clean and lightly grassy finish. Nice beer. Pretty true to the style.

Draft sampled at Mikkeller and Friends. Pours hazy golden brown with a ring off white head. Aroma is big barnyard, manure, horse blanket, tart fruits and brett. Flavour is moderate sour, kicking in more in the finish but with a mellowed light sweetness. Medium bodied with flat carbonation.

(Draught at Cask Pub & Kitchen, Pimlico, London, 20 May 2011. 7.0%) Hazy amber colour with brief head. Sourish, tart nose with notes of wood, detergent, glue and over-ripe fruit. Tart, earthy taste with hints of glue, dissolvent, wood, barnyard and citrus. More than medium body, dry and tart. Quite different, even for an unblended lambic. Interesting (and more drinkable than my tasting notes might suggest).

Säuerlich-trocken, halbwegs ausgewogen, später sehr trocken, pappig. Zitronig, etwas fruchtig. Hab schon besseres getrunken. 10/8/7/8//8

On tap at CP&K. It pours hazy golden yellow with a very thin off-white head. The nose is funky, sour, farmyard, sweaty socks and over-ripe apple. The taste is tart, biscuit, cheese, farmyard and tangy lemon-lime with a spicy note towards the finish. There is a slight fizz on the tip of the tongue and it’s quite thin. An interesting idea but this Lambic and hop combo doesn’t work well for me.
