Aggressively spicy, with a lingering pepper bit that eventually crowds out any more traditional milk stout notes. Chocolate, vanilla, and raisin come through towards the middle, but the capsaicin eventually overtakes the pint, leaving a palate-scouring heat too prominent for any cinnamon or char notes to take hold. Not bad, but heavy-handed.

Draft at New Heights. Pours a hazy, deep brown with a finger of beige foam that lingers. Cinnamon and cacao nib forward nose. Light chili pepper as it warms. Thick and rich texture on the palate. Chocolate, cinnamon & chili heat that lingers on the finish. Very impressed with body texture and mouthfeel on this one. Palate is very similar with a nice thickness that Abraxas has. Abraxas this is not, however it is remarkably well executed and was delicious.
