Predominantly blackberry. Not much wheat body, but a nice enough refreshing fruit beer.
Had high expectations. They were not met.

From Jun 2008
Bought locally at Poplar Wine & Spirits.
It pours a clear reddish amber with a 1 finger head of foam. There's some good lacing and the head retention is good.
The smell is big on the berries that kind of remind me of a Lindemans. I like fruit beers so the nose is impressive to me.
The taste is nice. Big flavour of raspberry and a good note of blackberry with some honey and overall, it's quite sweet but it suits my palate nicely.
Good medium to medium thick mouthfeel for the most part but it does border on syrupy near the finish.
This is a good fruit beer that, imo, doesn't have a whole lot of complexity going on but I don't look for that in every beer I try. It's simple, and it's good.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, best before 3/14/2016. Pours lightly hazy orange/pink/copper color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy light pink head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of tart blackberry, raspberry, blueberry, cherry, wheat, cracker, light honey, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Nice aromas with good balance of berries, pale malt, and light earthy hop notes; with good strength. Taste of tart blackberry, raspberry, blueberry, cherry, wheat, cracker, light honey, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Moderate fruity/tannic tartness and light herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of tart blackberry, raspberry, blueberry, cherry, wheat, cracker, light pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice balance and robustness of berries, pale malt, and light earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/tart/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Good amount of dryness from bitter/tartness as well. Medium carbonation and light bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, fairly acidic/tannic, and lightly grainy/bready balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish as expected of 4.7%. Overall this is a nice fruit wheat beer. All around good balance and robustness of berries, pale malt, and light earthy hop flavors; and very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

Old rating from 2006. Bottle from Old Town. Big blueberry and strawberry koolaid aroma with a slight hint of wheat. Tastes almost like a jones soda but still refreshing with a lot of carbonation. It is what it is, but at least it’s done well for what it is.
