Tap at Gambrinus. Pours pitch black with a half finger of foam that lingers. Great lacing. Light, ,acrid malt nose, toasted marshmallow. Sour coffee flavor. Light & drinkable. Keg at the brew pub, RBWG ’15, 20/02/15. Mahogany brown with a moderate tan covering. Nose is toffee, charr, light roast, chocolate. Taste comprises light roast, ashen notes, toffee fudge, biscuit, spice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok for style.

Draft. Pours dark brown tan head. Nose and taste of dry cocoa and coffee. Lighter medium body.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a dark brown with beige head. The aroma is strong roast and dark chocolate. Medium mouthfeel with sweet roast, dark fruit, light dry finish. Good.

Draft at the brewery. Pours clear brown with a creamy tan head. Toasted bread in the nose, some cocoa. Light to medium sweet flavor with notes of brown bread, milk chocolate, low bitterness. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sweet finish with toasted biscuits, cocoa, earth, bunt leaves. Decent.

Draft - Roast malts and chocolate malts. Jet black with a thin brown head. Roast malts and chocolate with a syrupy finish. Nice and rich.

On tap as part of a flight at the brewpub, on January 22, 2014.Clear dark red to black color, teal head. Dry, cocoa, vegetal, bitter taste. Bitter, ash tray aftertaste, also burnt pop-corn. Pop-corn (burnt), roasted scent. Medium mouthfeel, medium bitterness.
