Can pour into tulip glass from Julio’s Liquors. Appearance is cloudy yellow with greenish tinge, nice sparkle, finger-width foamy white head with good retention and decent sudsy lacing. Aroma is spicy rye with wheat, lemon and bubblegum. Taste is citrus, wheat, bubblegum with late rye spice, mild bitterness and hint of tart. Palate is medium bodied with thick texture but dominant feature of palate is almost painful stinging carbonation. Dry, lightly bitter with mild tart finish. Overall, excellent all around except for the carbonation level. After letting it sit, carbonation calms but gets more cracker, and bitter/tart.

Can sample at a tasting at troubles’s place. Thanks Alon. Hazy pale yellow. Aroma of spicy saison yeast, floral, a bit earthy, with light fruitiness. Dry flavor, citric, spicy, with some fruity hops. Light to medium-bodied. Good and refreshing.

Can. It pours a crystal clear pale yellow color with a shrinking white head. The aroma has light grainy malt with some pepper, a little vanilla and orange. The flavor is pleasantly citrusy with lots of orange and a little pepper. Hints of grain and vanilla. Medium citrusy/peppery bitterness in the finish. A good session Saison.

This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a glossy burnt yellow almost orange color with a thin sustaining white foamy head that dissipated at a nice pace. Nice little bit of a cap stays for a good bit.
The aroma starts off with some sweet breadiness rolling into a light white pepper then some citrus peel.
The flavor leans bready sweet with a nice balancing sharp spiciness riding in nicely. Wet crisp sweet and spicy aftertaste and finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionability about it. Carbonation runs light with some sweet stickiness rolling around.
Overall, damn nice saison, would love to have again for this time of the year.

Draught at the brewery, 2/27/16.
Not sure if this is a rotating/changing style beer, but this was clearly labeled as a citrus saison, at least at this juncture.
Lightly hazy body is a very soft, pale-white gold. White head atop is small, but fairly well-retained.
Dry, rather biscuity-grainy nose shows a bit of white pepper, dry lemonpeel and moderate, fruity, Belgian esters.
Citrus, biscuits, white pepper, cracker-like malts and a zesty carbonation propel this table beer-like creation down the throat very easily. Perhaps just slightly scratchy/husky are the malts, in unison with the citrus acidity, but it’s flavorful, clean and identifiably Belgian, so it’s hard to complain much. No alcohol or flaws.
