Ever so slightly hazy golden coloured body with a nice, albeit thin, single centimetre tall pure white head. Aroma of grass, light citrus, a dash of herbs and flowers and ending with some mild yeast and bread notes. Light-bodied; Sharp grassy and floral note at first that has the taste of a light saison, with a sort of biscuity and almost specialty grain type flavour that shows some mellow coriander seed, yeast and wheat notes and more of the grapefruit and floral pieces. Aftertaste shows the softer, fruit-based and mellow grass side without much dryness, but a smooth, easy-drinking finish to couple with the floral notes. Overall, a soft and very smooth, easy-drinking saison that shows almost all the right notes that you'd expect from the style, just on an easier-to-drink and in a smaller profile. I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased from Liqour Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 09-March-2018 for US$1,79 sampled at home on the Eastern Shore of Virginia, in Pungoteague, Virginia on 15-February-2020.

Sampled from a 12 oz can this beer poured a bright yellow color with a large foamy yellow-white head that left decent lacing. The aroma was musty with bubblegum, yeast and lemon. The flavor was dry, musty and dusty with notes of lemon peel and a bit of medicine. Long finish. Medium body. Meh.

Best by April 29th.
A: Hazy yellow, initially large head of foam, settles to a fine layer.
S: Wheat, Belgian yeast, banana, clove. Deeper the whiffs, the more cloves.
T: Wheat, cloves, banana all assisting the obvious yeast from the beer.
M: Light body borders watery in the finish but not quite. Thankfully.
O: If I was given this in a blind tasting, it would have surprised me that it was a US Saison. That’s a compliment.

12 ounce can into tulip glass, best before 1/1/2017. Pours hazy pale golden yellow color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon/orange peel, mango, melon, apple, coriander, peppercorn, clove, wheat, cracker, rye bread, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of bright citrus/tropical hops, fruity/spicy yeast, citrus peels, and moderate pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon/orange peel, mango, melon, apple, coriander, peppercorn, clove, wheat, cracker, rye bread, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Moderate yeast spiciness and light-moderate citrus peel/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon/orange peel, mango, melon, apple, coriander, peppercorn, wheat, cracker, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of bright citrus/tropical hops, fruity/spicy yeast, citrus peels, and moderate pale malt flavors; with a great malt/bitter/spiciness balance, and zero astringent flavors after the finish. Moderate dryness from bitter/spiciness as well. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, crisp, fairly grainy/creamy, and lightly sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.5%. Overall this is an awesome saison! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of bright citrus/tropical hops, fruity/spicy yeast, citrus peels, and moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink. Very bright on the hop/yeast/citrus flavors; with a nice malt presence for the low ABV. A very enjoyable offering.

Can shared. Pours a clean and clear gold with a finger of foam that dissipates quickly. Light grassy nose with some fruity esters. Clean and dry on the palate, a bit one dimensional honestly. Bit of yeasty dryness on the finish.
