A golden DIPA with a thin white head. In aroma, nice biscuit malt with balanced floral hops, light, light mineral notes, light mint. In mouth, a nice sweet biscuit malt with loads of citrusy floral hops, mandarin pulp, light tropical fruits, very nice. On tap at Birreria Chicago location.

12 oz can. Hazy golden straw color with lasting head. Aroma is light pine, light tropical fruit and a good amount of sweet pale malts.
Flavor shows fruit forward with a nice underlying pine. This can is about 2 weeks old and it’s already getting on the edge of to sweet. The lingering pine in the finish saves it but my guessing is this will turn overly sweet in a short amount of time. After the swallow a light alcohol note can be found as well. Not a majorly distracting considering the 11 %. Texture is kind of chewy / Bready with moderate carbonation level. Good, and as of right now it’s balanced but don’t let this sit for any amount of time.

Can thanks to Adam! Pours a hazy amber gold with a tan head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has notes of grass and a bit of resin with a sweet grain backbone. Flavor has a combination of grass and resin with a good amount of sweet grains and a hint of bitter citrus.

Can at State and Lake, 6/26/15, 500th Rating of 2015!
Big hop aroma, lots of grapefruit/citrus along with some pine. The flavor doesn't quite live up, with some a lot of malty flavor and a big bitterness also having some slightly unpleasant alcohol and other flavors. Fairly full bodied as well, with the burn hurting the drinkability a touch. Thought this was a decent DIPA, but it came off too hot for me and didn't feel quite well rounded enough to get a better score than this.

Purchased at Bottles and Cans in Chicago, IL; enjoyed at home on a fantastic early summer evening after a nice run and meal. This one is extremely good. Appearance is a very vibrant amber / gold with a huge white head that laces to the glass. Aroma is bright, great hop notes, rich and complex, light fruit. Taste goes down with a great bitterness, grapefruit notes, spice, citrus, lots going on and it’s equally delicious. One of the best I’ve had in quite a while.
