Quarantine Beer #116 sampled at home on 05/07/2020. Clear orange-gold color with a medium thin white head that burns away quickly to an outer ring. Short strings of lace. Grassy hops, citrus and malt aroma. Medium body with flavors of grassy hop, grapefruit and bready malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a citrusy hop aftertaste. Decent overall.

On tap at Red Cow North Loop. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has citrus and citrus rind with a hint of tropical fruits underlying. Flavor has bitter citrus with a touch of light pine and a sweet grain backbone.

Figgers, another IPA in a can, hehehehheheh. In a jack lambert glass, none the less. Permeating sweet mild whispering hop perfume nose. Fairly clear off pale yellow. First taste well, what else do you expect except but a big giant bitter IPA blast of bang a gong. Soooo bitter, astringent lasting taste bud coating liqueeee liquid. Ruins yer taste buds for a while, can't taste anything but erect palate eroding volatile hops, whew, terribly on style. Scrapes off the first layer of yer memory cell. Nothing odd about this one, it tells you the way it iz. So much alpha, very little beta. Yes, seems stronger than 7%.

Can shared at Lucky Bamboo share. Pours a clear, glowing straw with a finger of foam that lingers. Bright, green hops with some iyokan zest and dank aromas. Clean and crisp on the palate. Very drinkable, medium bitterness towards the finish. Quite nice.

12 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 11/17/2017. Pours slightly hazy/cloudy medium golden yellow color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky off white head with awesome retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Thick soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big tangerine, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, lemon/orange peel, citrus rind, pepper, pine, cracker, white bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tangerine, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, lemon/orange peel, citrus rind, pepper, pine, cracker, white bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus rind, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, lemon/orange rind, pepper, pine, cracker, white bread, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy, and sticky/resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 6.5%. Overall this is an excellent IPA. All around great citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the modestly bitter/resin/drying finish. Really great mix of citrus, fruity, tropical, and earthy/piney hop complexity; nice malt backbone, with no residual sweetness. Extremely dank, juicy, and vibrant. A very enjoyable offering.
