The beer. The 'Bot. The legend. This sought-after Double IPA packs in a whole mess of hops in order to churn out a bombastic citrus taste full of orange peel, mildly dank whiffs of pine, and a deceptively easy-flowing flavor. There's just enough haze in this one to satisfy the "Hops Heads" while it's not to bitter/crazy for first-timers to enjoy this fruity brew.

Hops - Columbus, Citra, Simcoe, Mosaic.

Pours a bright slightly hazy golden-orange color with a medium white head that evaporates steadily. Strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus, hops and malt. Medium to full body with flavors of grapefruit, hops, pine and toasted malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a lingering citrusy hops aftertaste. Pretty good all around.

Can at Pre-Zwanze tasting, thanks to Bruce. It pours hazy orange-amber with a small white head. The nose is fresh pine, orange, tangerine, apricot, resin and Irn Bru. The taste is crisp, orange, grapefruit, alcohol kick, grass, resin, earth and good deal of bitterness with a dry, bitter finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. A very tasty, drinkable DIPA.

Can at Bruce’s in London - Pre-Zwanze Tasting. Pours clear gold with a fine, creamy white head. Nose has lots of juicy grapefruit, melon. Medium sweet flavor, nice and resinous, some piney bitterness, dirty pine. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Warming and resinous to finish, more grapefruit, melon, papaya. Rich and pungent. I like it.

12oz can from my buddy elliot. Thanks. Pretty kickin beer. Orange, citrus and a little tropical tartness. DIPA in a can? I think so!

Can: Poured a cloudy amber color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of strong grassy hops notes with light residual sugar notes. Taste is dominated by powerful floral grassy hops with light citrus notes and semi-sweet malt non-descript malt base. Body is full with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Very enjoyable IIPA which is focus more on floral hops notes with limited bitterness.

Thanks to a trader for giving me 2 of these in a trade. Enjoyed at 40 Degrees F in a wine glass.

A - Hazy burnt orange appearance. no head

S - Nice grapefruit and pine cone aroma. Very mild aroma, not too dominating. No dry hopping at all which is surprising for DIPA

T - Very explosive flavor! Loads of orange peel, grapefruit juice and pine needle pine resin but citrus is the dominating flavor. Very drinkable, not too bitter and quite an enjoyable beer sip after sip.

M - Medium body, nice carbonation. Very drinkable

O - This beer was surprising. First of all, I’d call this a regular IPA. It’s not bitter, not boozy and very approachable. If only it came in bigger cans.
