Creamy, dreamy, soft and hazy, but determined to keep you guessing. MOOD RING is the mosaic+citra+vic secret hopped base for a forthcoming series of fruited lactose DIPAs, each one just a little more far out than the last, man.

Tasting Notes: far out, tropical, lactose

Pint can from Wine Cellar Depere, 10/20/22. Hazy yellow, medium off-white head, average retention. Aroma of pineapple, mango, pale malt. Taste is pineapple, vanilla, mango, lactose. Thin, juicy. Decent.

(Keg at Sori Taproom, 20191205) The beer poured deep amber and lightly hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had malts, caramel and glue. Palate was medium bodied and warming with rather low carbonation. Flavours sweetness, glue, berries, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste had berries, sweetness and bitterness. An unpleasant boozy brew with the notes of berries.

Super fruit forward mouthfeel and taste, creamy and huge mango vanilla notes.

On tap at Bearded Iris, pours a cloudy golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out biscuity malt, light lactose, and dry tropical fruity hops. Flavour is along the same lines, with just enough lactose to distinguish this, along with tropical fruity hops, and dry biscuity malt. Really nicely done.

Pretty glorious DIPA from Bearded Iris, tropical and dank and berry-dusted, floral and soapy and earthy, underlined by a toasted-bread-and-caramel malt base and a piney, lingering bitterness on the finish. Lactose adds a subtle vanilla-tinged sweetness on the back end, but clingy hops clear away any lasting sugar notes and pave the way for a firm, resinous fade. Amazing b.o.-and-citrus-salad nose. Pours okay, coming out a hazed gold with a brief head and spotty lacing. Creamy texture is frighteningly easygoing for a 8.3% IPA. Wonderful pint.

Can shared by my man Z! Pours a thick, deep yellow with a finger of foam that lingers. Big, juicy grapefruit, lemon drop and mango nose..light yogurt and cream. Peach all over the palate. Some hopburn, creamy with a bitter finish. Definitely more bitter than expected, but still a nice drop.
