One of two beers to make it home from Nashville. Rich, wonderful aroma. Makes me miss vacay.

Tasting at Matt's, can
Black color, oily, no head. Dark chocolate aroma, maybe some apples. Good body strength, good chocolate flavor, very nutty. Balanced.
Very good.

Dark brown. Not much head. The aroma is a bit simple - some chocolate syrup, light fruitiness, and a light bit of barrel. On the palate, again you get a lot of wood, and a touch of fruitiness. The malts still come across like chocolate syrup, and that's the part of the beer that I don't really like much. It's too thin and underdeveloped on the malt side. I could see if someone thought the barrel was a bit too intense, but I personally like that character.

Tall can at Matt's. Canned on 2017-09-29. Pours a very dark brown with a weak dark beige head. Aroma is some berry notes and roasted malts. Tastr is moderately sweet, roasted malts, some chocolate, creamy and some smoky notes on the back. Good one.

16 oz. can, pours black with a small beige head. Nose brings out mostly toasted malt and a little oak - no notice of the berries. Flavour is along the same lines, with medium toasted malt, some dark berries, and a touch of oak. Nicely balanced, with light sweetness and moderate fruitiness. Solid stuff.

Can thanks to drfabulous. Pours a pitch black color with a small beige head. A big sweet nose, roast and vanilla. Rich, huge dark chocolate, heavy roast, the berries fit in perfectly, a nice tangy metallic finish. Damn, this is awesome. A dry heavy roast finish which is just lovely. Smooth. Damn good beer.
