A traditional example of a classic style. Light bodied with a pleasant crispness from generous hop additions throughout the boil.

Draft at the source. Hazy yellow, white head. Aroma and flavors of pils malt, mild fruitiness, straw. Refreshing.

Fairly standard pils, with a solid dose of apple-lemon fruitiness underneath grainy cracker malts and a firm floral bitterness on the back end. Moderate cereal sweetness grows pronounced as the pint warms, while the bitterness never quite seems as balanced as it should be. Pours a pale yellow-gold with a thing white head and modest lacing. Floral hop nose has hints of apple and biscuit. Very drinkable, if unexciting.

On tap at Smith & Lentz, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out biscuity malt and crisp crackery notes, with a hint of grass. Flavour is along the same lines, with crisp biscuity malt and light grassy notes. Crisp and dry. Decent.

Draft at Craft Brewed. Pours a clearish straw with a small white head that dissipates. Grainy, bready nose. Light grass and faint lemon pith. Touch of bitter. Clean, faintly sweet. Not bad, but not as Czech as I like. --- Beer merged from original tick of German Pils on 21 Aug 2017 at 21:16 - Score: 6. Original review text: Grainy, bready nose. Light grass and faint lemon pith.
