Can. Hazy gold with a white head. Aroma of grapefruit and pine resin. The flavor is grassy, bitter, resiny. Decent, pretty standard IPA.

Still getting over the minor shock of seeing a Blackberry Farm beer in a can, but, hey, we’re living in crazy times. Coyote Tactics offers up a solid swath of tropical and citrus notes--passion fruit, orange, a little kiwi--with some herbal chives and a prolonged pinecone back end. Malts are biscuity and clean, not all that sweet, yet the hops almost become medicinal on the finish, aspirin-like in their palate-scrubbing bitterness. Nose offers slight citrus and pine. Lovely pour, bright gold with a lasting white head and tons of lacing. Feel’s good as well, oily yet perky and effervescent. Drinkable, yet not a standout amid an overcrowded style.

Can from Craft Brewed. Pours a clear gold with small white head that dissipates quickly. Very peach-forward nose with some grapefruit aromas. Light on the palate, more peach, stone fruit and citrus. Clean and solid bitterness. Good stuff. --- Beer merged from original tick of Coyote Tactics IPA on 08 Jul 2017 at 23:36 - Score: 7.
