If you know the SGB crew then you’re aware of how much we dig the meads coming out of Garagiste Meadery! We were honored to host them in Nashville a few weeks back for their first ever beer collaboration.

Taking inspiration from their heralded Reboog series of peanut butter and fruit infused meads, we present REBOOG ROADTRIP! This beer/mead hybrid, aka Braggot, started as our massive Imperial Stout base before getting the SGB & Garagiste twists. In this instance that meant the addition of 360lbs of local wildflower honey, and ridiculous amounts of blackberries and peanut butter.

We intentionally bottled this massive 15.2% braggot with only a touch of carbonation to best reflect its mead inspired origins. This thick and velvety honey stout prominently features a nutty dessert profile before finishing with a jammy, tart blackberry component that allows for such a massive beverage to be quite drinkable.

Bottle at Lumberjack Day. Pours a black with small tan head that lasts. The aroma Is strong grape jelly and vanilla. Slick body, grape jam, vanilla, cloying sweetness, very good.

Bottle -pours black tan head - nose and taste of blackberry, honey, peanut butter, jam, bread crust and chocolate - medium bodied.

Draft at SG Nations. Pours a thick and viscous deep brown with purplish red highlights and no head. Big peanut butter forward nose with chocolate brownies and raspberry, blueberry fudge notes. Thick and coating on the palate with wonderful floral honey flavors that meld with the berries and chocolate perfectly. More peanut butter on the palate as well. Booze is there, but fairly well hidden. Lingering peanut butter and berries with chocolate raspberry on the finish.
