Bottle at share. Black and slick, flat pour. Aroma is sweet, roasty, and boozy. Taste hits with seeetness, followed by alcohol warmth, vanilla, molasses, syrup. Feels warm without a lot of heat.

22oz bottle thanks to Steve. Pours out black topped with tan head. Nose is big booze coffee bourbon barrel notes vanilla roast malts chocolate. Taste is more of the nice heat vanilla roast malts chocolate and some coffee.

On tap @ Bergen Craft Beer Fest. Pours black, with a creamy, mocha head. Aroma is dark malts, with coffee, vanilla, cocoa nibs and liquorice, as well as wooden barrels. Creamy body, with soft carbonation. Flavour is sweet malty notes of bread, cocoa, muscovado and wooden barrels.

Nice light brown slightly fizzy-creamy mediumlasting head, deep dark pour. Aroma is slightly rich and sweet, mild bourbon, dark sugar, dark malts, chocolate, vanilla, hay, caramel, minerals, toast. Taste is slightly dry sour-ish mineraly, bourbon, oak, minerals, grass, vanilla, dark sugar, vanilla, bark, toast, hay, soil, nuts, old rope. Medium bitterness, slightly watery and dry boozy mouthfeel. Nice.

Bottle. Pours near black with a brown head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of rye and bourbon with strong dark grains roasted malts and a bit of coffee underlying. Flavor has sweet dark grains, bourbon, whiskey, light roast and a bit of vanilla supporting.
