Kempisch Vuur Hoppergod is een blonde IPA (geen echte IPA vermits er geen Pale-Ale mout werd gebruikt, maar enkel Pilsmout). Het is heel licht van kleur (7 EBC). Een storting van 14°P brengt het alcoholgehalte, na hergisting op de fles, op 6 vol%. Het is een vlot doordrinkbaar bier en, zoals de naam “Hoppergod” laat vermoeden, is het een redelijk sterk gehopt bier. Twee soorten bitterhop zorgen dan ook voor een stevige basisbitterheid van 50 EBU. Maar het venijn zit em natuurlijk in de staart. Naast de 2 bitterhoppen zijn er ook 3 verschillende aromahoppen gebruikt die elk op een ander tijdstip werden toegevoegd. Dit laat zich goed proeven in de afdronk. Elke hop geeft zijn specifiek aroma vrij op een ander ogenblik zodat je oneindig lang kan genieten van de nabitterheid van dit heerlijke bier.

Spicy, fruity aroma with plenty of hops that manages to intrigue, but does not appeal much to my tastebuds. There was something in the aftertaste that reminded me of urine... Maybe I should blame the waittress, because it was from tap. She did take a little detour to the toilets. Very bitter finish. I salute the effort, but it’s not for me

Bottled@Tuulensuu, Tampere. Hazy orangeish golden colour with a mediumsized foamy white head. Aroma is floral and herbal hops along with some sweet malts and mild yeasty tones. Flavour is sweet malts, some hay, grass, mild herbal tones with some slight spiciness too.

Tap at the Hoppy Loft. Aroma is lightly cream cheesy, some hoppiness. Taste is good. Refreshing, light bitterness, yeasty.

Bottle. Golden color. Soft floral hops in the aroma. Decent floral citric hopflavor. Hints of cardboard. Floral hops and a hint of caramel in the finish. Past its peak way before the best before date.

0,33 flaske fra Belgisk Bryg, hjemme: klar gylden med ok skum. Høy/stall, krydderurter og litt overmodne appelsiner i fin forening. Ut over det er det egentlig lite å rapportere. En helt ok men litt kjedelig øl, med andre ord.
