Inspired by the Aztec Chocolate potion, Chocolatl has over 40 pounds of chocolate, copious amounts of Saigon Cinnamon, and chilis with a slight tinge of bitter in the finish. If you were a fan of our Holy Mole, be sure to give this one a try!

Light brown, no head. Very chocolate, lots of cinnamon. Maybe ancho? Not actually sure.

On tap at the brewery. Pours almost black with a beige head. Aroma and flavors of roasted malt, chocolate, cinnamon. Didn't pick up the chili pepper. Good.

Draft at the source. Pours an unclear deep brown with a finger of foam that dissipates. Lots of cacao nib and milk chocolate in the nose, then cinnamon and nutmeg come out as it warms. Rich and thick for such a low abv porter, great body. More cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice with chocolate. Lingering light chili pepper on the finish. Nice drop...much like a baby abraxas. --- Beer merged from original tick of Chocolatl Aztec on 21 Apr 2018 at 20:00 - Score: 7
